Let The Holidays Begin With “City Lights”
I can almost smell it can’t you? That turkey, those hot creamy mashed potatoes, that green bean casserole that only Aunt Janie can make and last but not least…..that pumpkin pie? If you are going to be in Dallas this weekend, come stay at the best hotel in town, the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel, and we’ll talk about all the good things we’re going to eat.
Yes, its here folks, that frantic, fun, phenomenal, fantastic season of the year we call simply…..the holidays. From Thanksgiving to Christmas we try to pack in all the shopping, cooking, eating, more shopping, Christmas parties, more eating, and all the gift wrapping we can possibly handle. But you know what really starts off the holiday season right around here? The City Lights celebration in downtown, that’s what.
This Saturday, November 17th, 2012, City Lights kicks off with a “Holiday Festival” along Main Street that continues throughout the evening. You will enjoy family friendly activities including vendors, ornament making, musical performances, food, food and more food. The “Holiday Light Show” lights up the night at 7:00 p.m. with a one of a kind light installation along Main Street, the lighting of the downtown’s 65 foot Christmas tree at Main Street Garden and a special arrival from Santa that you won’t want to miss. After all, he won’t be able to stay long, this is the busiest time of year for him ya know!!!!
Of course, Dallas is a beautiful city any time of year, but during the holiday season, it becomes a magical place for kids of all ages, even those of us who are only kids at heart these days. Bring your family out for a fun filled, and even a little chilly, November night they won’t soon forget. What better way to start off the season of giving than with the ones you love the most.
You can enjoy your evening on Main Street and come on back to the best hotel in town, the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel, and go to sleep with dreams of sugarplums, or candy canes, or new shoes, or a new puppy……or whatever your heart desires. After all, you DID give your list to Santa didn’t you?
