Busy Week In Big “D” – Hotel Near Dallas Convention Center
Are you ready for the big night? Can you believe it’s really here? Did you get all your shopping and wrapping done! Why the 20 question quiz you ask…..because its CHRISTMAS EVE ya big cotton headed ninny muggins! In case you were wondering, the movie ELF (which is where the cotton headed thing came from) is one of my favorite Christmas movies and I watched it tonight before I sat down to write. Ahhhhh……all is right with the world….I’ve watched ELF.
Other than tonight and tomorrow night being Christmas Eve and Christmas night, there are lots of things to do this week while you are in town. Today is Christmas Eve day and since you’ve probably got a little time on your hands, you should visit the new Perot Science Museum. There are so many great exhibits to see and a fun time for the whole family.
Tomorrow is going to be such a great day here in Big D…..turning colder with a possibility of snow, just in time for Christmas. After all the presents have been opened and the food has been eaten, you should make your way to Grand Prairie, just a short 20 minute drive down Interstate 30, to the Verizon Theater to see Kem and Rickey Smiley. You’ll find yourself in love with the sounds of KEM and laughing hysterically at the comedy of Rickey Smiley….either way, you’ll have a great time.
The rest of the week proves to be just as busy and full of family fun and all just minutes away from the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel, the best hotel near the Dallas Convention Center. You can attend the Jingle Ball at the Candleroom on the 26th, experience the awesome sounds of Mannheim Steamroller at the Meyerson Center, cheer on the Dallas Mavericks as they take on the Denver Nuggets at the AAC on the 28th, take your kids to the art lab at the Perot Museum the next day and finish off the week with another exciting night at the AAC when the Mavs take on the San Antonio Spurs…..WHEW!…..that made me excited just thinking about all the fun things going on around town this week.
