Hello again from the best hotel in Dallas, the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel. We look forward to seeing you this weekend over the Thanksgiving holiday and hope you get to spend lots of time with loved ones and friends.

We know what your plans are for Thanksgiving Day……eating, watching football, taking naps, more eating and more napping. That just about covers it right? You might just want to start a new tradition for you and your family right here in the metroplex. Just thirty minutes southwest of downtown Dallas is where you’ll find the most dazzling lights display this side of the North Pole. Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie is home to “Prairie Lights”……a four million light display set up over a two mile driving path. You’ll see light displays and shapes of all kinds lining the roads along your drive through Lynn Creek Park.

Prairie Lights opens on Thanksgiving night and runs through December 31, 2012. Every year is a different light experience as new light displays are added each year. Halfway through your drive, you can stop in at the giant tent for some hot chocolate, some hot apple cider, some homemade fudge, piping hot nachos and even a sausage on a stick. While in the tent you can also have your picture made with Santa……or at the very least…..the children’s pictures made with Santa!

Also in the tent is a sit down indoor light show that snows REAL SNOW during each seating. There’s also a gift shop area and a walk through lighted forest. Prairie Lights is fast becoming a Thanksgiving night tradition with families all over the metroplex. What better way to officially kick off the Christmas season than driving through a Christmas wonderland of lights, lights and more lights.
