Every family has their Thanksgiving traditions that are passed down from generation to generation through the years. Whether its who gets to pull the wish bone to who gets to say the blessing, there’s always plenty to be thankful for this time of year. We here at the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel are thankful to be a part of this great city and be of service to all our fabulous guests.
For thousands of people here in the metroplex, Thanksgiving would not be complete without the annual Turkey Trot. Kick off your day with a great walk or run through downtown Dallas this Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. There will be a 5K walk/run and an 8 mile run, for those that really want to burn those extra calories before they are even consumed. I think I’ll just sleep in……
If you’ve grown up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, or maybe you were just a fan of America’s team, you know that it’s a great Thanksgiving Day tradition for the Cowboys to play football on Thanksgiving. And of course, this year is no exception. Its probably a little late for tickets, but there’s nothing like settling in after a great meal in front of a tv surrounded by loved ones cheering on “The Boys”. If you can make it to halftime without having to nudge Uncle Ned because he’s snoring so loud, it’s a successful day. Oh come on……we all have our own Uncle Ned!
For those of you who just want to spend your day in quiet reflection over the past year and all the blessings that have come your way, you can visit Thanksgiving Square. Thanksgiving Square is a sanctuary where all faiths are welcome and also serves as a way for all of us to be together as one.
Whether you are spending Thanksgiving with us here at the Dallas Love Field Ramada Hotel or not, we want to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
